Important results from the project

During the project period, 58 companies have been supported in our business development process. 30 of these companies we assess have good potential to develop into growth companies. Through the NEST initiative the number of new innovations within the Swedish textile industry has increased. A number of educational films on techniques and tools have been produced and distributed. Collaboration between the West Sweden Chamber of Commerce and Connect has resulted in a new investor network.

Expected long term effects

Through our support for innovative startups, we contribute to increased sustainable growth. Through our business development process, we contribute to more innovators and entrepreneurs taking the step to establish their business idea. By constantly developing our network towards venture capital, we increase the startup companies´ opportunity to finance their growth journey. By constantly encouraging women, we contribute to increasing the number of female entrepreneurs inlcuding venture capital

Approach and implementation

Borås INK will contribute to economic growth by assisting researchers, creators and entrepreneurs in the process of starting and developing new companies with great growth potential. The basis of the operation is a focused business development process to shorten the time and reduce the risk to market for the incubator´s portfolio companies. Borås INK therefore aims to offer a recognized and industry-rooted business development process of high quality, which we believe we will achieve.
