Purpose and goal

In parallel with the technological development within the industrial transformation environmental legislation is being tightened with the revision of IED. At EU-level, INCITE has started to gather information about emerging techniques. Impact INCITEs aim is to ensure that INCITE´s platform contains fact-based information and maximize Swedish input and output to and from INCITE, where the result will affect regulations and policy instruments, e.g. recommendations for BAT/BREF and research gaps.

Expected effects and result

The intended effect of the project is to stimulate Swedish innovations that will contribute to reducing the climate and environmental footprint primarily from metal industry. The project´s objective is that at least 200 relevant actors be reached by information about INCITE and at least 10 Swedish innovations be included in the database. The project will produce recommendations for work with INCITE, to be used by other transitioning industries that will update their BREF and BAT documents.

Planned approach and implementation

The work will be characterized by the fact that INCITE´s process is not completely decided, but the main activities are to follow the activities that take place at the EU level, identify Swedish innovations and help industry and technology developers to understand INCITE´s platform, critically review the information uploaded to the platform as well as contribute to the conclusion work that takes place through Sectoral Workshops.
