Purpose and goal

Elderly needs help in their private homes. Relatives, professional Caretakers take care and help in different tasks. A growing area is AAL-technologies, inhouse alarm, smart-house technologies. KNOTS will be developed to allow easy access for skilled/non-skilled users. Mobile User-interface will be primary implemented on commercial available tablets or a stationary system that can be used in meeting-points or. Access via browsers is also an option. It will have to service different levels of skill, be highly barrier free and the interface needs to adapt to the individual users.

Expected results and effects

KNOTS improve the development of integrated solutions for older people living at home by merging professional and voluntary caretakers, caretaking relatives, inhouse-emergency systems and AAL-technologies and corresponding services by creating a common accessible, barrier-free knowledge base. The KNOTS system fulfil easier integration for the partners around the elderly, with cost reduction and higher quality and security.
