Important results from the project

The overall goal of this project has been to strengthen the metals producing industry´s compe-tence supply sustainably and at the same time establish a lasting structure for collaboration on future competence supply initiatives. This goal has been broken down into intermediate goals and deliveries, all of which have been met. In summary, the project has catalyzed many interesting processes and activities, making it clear that it filled a great need.

Expected long term effects

The results of the project have provided an in-depth understanding of the issues surrounding career choices, which is the basis for a lasting competence supply. The project´s perspective has already been adopted by further initiatives. We believe that the project´s results will be an important part of how we look at competence supply in the future.

Approach and implementation

The project has had more than one purpose. One main part of the project has been to provide support and coordination to other projects under its umbrella, including those within the project´s call, related individual projects, and other activities. Another important part of the project has been to regard and analyze competence supply from an individual perspective, focusing on what attracts and repels the individual in the choices she makes as to her career.
