Important results from the project
In order for Mevia to gain a better understanding of how we can bring our product solutions into general care, we have built up a broader understanding of how the different parts of municipalities, counties and healthcare staff work together. The project was conducted in 3 parts, where Part 1 consisted of data collection focusing on the Västra Götaland region. Part 2 consisted of a workshop with the individuals that felt the most relevant from the interviews. Part 3 consisted of compiling all data in order to bring this into the next project.
Expected long term effects
The project has gained insight into how patient care with focus on medicine management works today. Through the interviews and workshops we have learned about the concrete challenges faced by counties and municipalities. What we also gained a better understanding of is how the various guidelines are interpreted in association with medicine management and when prescribing "dos". The developed understanding of the care chain will be very important in future projects and in order to help focus Mevia´s energy in the right place.
Approach and implementation
Firstly interviews were conducted and then we gathered individuals to a workshop allowing each party to get a better overall picture. For Mevia, qualitative interviews together with Innovationsplattformen was an excellent way of carrying out the project. This is largely due to the huge network of contacts that Innovationsplattformen possesses but it also made the first contact and booking of meetings much easier when we could collaborate with a partner who could not only be a door opener for us but who also has an interest in understanding the situation and sharing that with others.
