Purpose and goal

The main goal of this pre-study is to broaden the concept of norm. This because a large group of normal individuals are today marginalized due to an obsolete society framework. The purpose is to move people with disability from being dependent on funding and being marginalized towards being part of and contributing to society. In order to achieve this, we present a vision of a multifunctional knowledge center whose purpose is to work as a catalyst for society and at the same time creating long-term structural changes. A meetingground were intersectoral innovation processes can thrive.

Results and expected effects

Expected profit result for the individual: increased mobility, responsibility, general health, participation and employability. All together enhances dignity and decision influence in society. Expected profit result for society: released potential, increased resources, a big win in the battle for equality and diversity. We also see a potential for exponentially increasing structural change in society thanks to the intersectoral partnerships that can be made.

Approach and implementation

The original plan suggested two idea seminar to gather information to create a futuristic including hotel. After having the first of these two and at the same time investigated similar activities our conclusion was to not create a hotel in the original intended fashion but, in order to win market shares, include a platform for intersectoral partnerships and social innovations. Therefor have we used the latter part of this pre-study, focusing on producing a presentation of our hotel as a platform for a center of knowledge.
