Important results from the project
The project aims to explore the possibility of raising the voltage level in Hagnesia´s generator system, in order to provide a direct-drive generator solution that replaces both gearbox and step-up transformer, to enable more compact and material-saving powertrains. The project has helped us to develop the technical solution as well as to make important contacts for future R&D project.
Expected long term effects
The results are promising, although much development work still remains. The hope is to work further with this in a larger research project together with partners from industry and academia. A consortium has been formed and a research project proposed, which can hopefully start in 2025.
Approach and implementation
The set-up and execution largely followed the set plan, with a focus on power electronics and studies of critical components in the generator. The project results enabled valuable contacts with future partners and potential customers.
