Call Advanced and innovative digitalization 2022

Purpose and goal

The project´s two overall objectives are to: - Demonstrate that a PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) capability for development and maintenance of complex CyberPhysical Systems can be realized, cost-effectively, by creating a federation of integrated but independent development environments. - Demonstrate that the OSLC standard can be used for efficient integration of individual development environments. The goal is to be able to demonstrate an integrated PLM environment based on federated standalone components.

Expected results and effects

The project validates a new integration pattern for the integration of development environments that provides opportunities for niche suppliers to deliver well-defined subsets of complete PLM capabilities to larger organizations. As a result, users of PLM systems are provided with the ability to realize solutions that are optimized over time, while the smaller, yet more innovative providers are given access to a larger market.

Planned approach and implementation

The project runs from Januari 2023 over 18 months and the activities are distributed over six work packages: WP1: Project management and dissemination WP2: Federated PLM requirements, scenarios and solution strategies WP3: OSLC Configuration management standardisation contributions WP4: OSLC toolbox development for automating interface development WP5: OSLC tool interface development for PLM systems WP6: Industrial demonstrations of a federated PLM environment
