Important results from the project
Refrigerated transports today are mainly driven by systems utilizing working fluids with high GWP. Enforcement of regulations invoking much lower limits regarding the GWP from refrigerated transports is expected in the near future, however. The dominating systems today in refrig transports are based on old technologies and have low COP. Introducing an energy efficient refrigeration system using low GWP working fluids should therefore have potential to grab market shares. The research project concerns an innovative system that will be verified and optimized for refrig transport.
