Important results from the project
The problem with misuse of gloves is big in health care and the holder gloveboxes are not user friendly. The boxes breakes easely, gloves falls out of the box and puts back followed by kontamination. The aim was to develop, test and evaluate a new boxholder for gloves with potental to reduce kontamination of bacterias , waste of gloves and are more user friendly. The aim is forfilled in total.
Expected long term effects
The new boxholder: * was more user friendly * reduced waste of gloves * reduced bacterias on the surface and the extermly positive results contributed to that the company that produced tha prototype ar willing to go on with production.
Approach and implementation
Observations and interviews concerning user friendlyness was done on the present boxholder and the prototype. The waste of gloves were measured through a wastebox placed under the boxholder both the present and the prototype. Microbacteral test where done on the surfaxce of the box near the hole of the box, both on the present holder and the prototype. The material where tested for hard-wearing and for cleaning and desinfection.
