Purpose and goal
The purpose and objective of the project was to compile a Best Practise for coordinating proposals to Horizon 2020. It is now available in a booklet that provides suggestions as to how the application process from idea to finished application shall be implemented for best results. In particular, we have laid emphasis on the new requirements for Innovation and Impact.
Results and expected effects
The best practice booklet has been spread within EU support office network. Workshops at Linnéuniversitetet and KTH gave valuable ideas and feedback We have based on that made an update to version 1.1. The Best Practise will also be further updated as new experiences from Horizon 2020 will arrive. Our hope is that it will have a positive impact on coordination efforts and lead to better outcomes of the applications.
Approach and implementation
The project has been led by three organizations and those responsible for the writing process all have long experience of EU applications, both as coordinators and around finance and administration. In parallel with our own experiences, experiences from other tutorials have been collected, interviews have taken place with other coordinators and comments gathered from FTP. Furthermore, participating in various information sessions on Horizon 2020 and reading the paper on Horizon 2020 provided a picture of what is expected of applications to the program that has been very valuable.
