Purpose and goal
The aim was to develop new knowledge about how innovation occurs and can be stimulated in the green industries, mainly agriculture. The project focused on new forms of organizing, in which the interaction between legal actors were central. One goal was to build up a knowledge and an idea bank containing problems and solutions related to innovation in the green industry. Another goal was methodological contributions in the form tools and new ways (such as film) to document empirical phenomena. Our assessment is that the purpose and objectives are met.
Expected results and effects
Theoretical models have been developed, and a network has been created. Sharp projects have been implemented, such as an experimental farm machine. Films were produced and conferences were organized. Companies have received inspiration and concrete support to drive innovation processes. For example, a pavilion was organized at the world´s largest agricultural fair. Some inventions have been made in the project, and patenting processes are now ongoing. Methodological results have also been generated, for example, case studies documented by means of professional filming.
Planned approach and implementation
The dialogue philosophy of this project made us to combine people with different knowledge base for developing innovative knowledge. Both popular and scientific publications were written. Popular publications aimed to get feedback and ideas from a wide audience. By presenting ideas and knowledge, researchers can get criticism and suggestions that drive knowledge forward. By combining the subject areas marketing / business development with the green sector project by some has been perceived as a creation of a novel reasearch platform in Sweden.
