Purpose and goal

ESS Supply, Procurement and Logistics (SPL) Division considers that the main goal defined as ´building capacity in Innovative Procurement at ESS´ is fulfilled with excellent results taking into account initial expectations. The complete experience has been truly fruitful and enriching, starting with the preparatory activities leading to the market consultation, the actual workshop with industry and its outcome, and ending with the preparation of documentation for use in PCP procedures.

Expected results and effects

Capacity building in PCP: ESS has successfully driven the first stage of a PCP procedure, including identification of suitable projects, involvement of relevant industry. Call for Tender Documentation: ESS has developed baseline PCP tender documents. Sharing capacity building with external stakeholders: Officers from the Swedish National Agency for Public Procurement participated in different stages of the procedure. Identify potential future PCPs/PPIs: ESS included PCP and PPI procedures as possible procedures for technologically challenging procurement projects.
