Important results from the project

Go: smart has had as objectives to develop, test and demonstrate innovative services and system with international attractiveness and aims to develop the concept of sustainable transport. By developing the travel service UbiGo the project has managed to create a fully integrated travel service covering individual needs that bridges the gap between private and collective traveler. It has also been proven in reality. By tests of the concept geofencing and incident warning results has been obtained that will serve as a valuable basis for research projects as ElectriCity and Elmob.

Expected long term effects

By testing the service UbiGo all the preparatory work like appoint service providers, subscription details, system development, support services, billing and business model went from a theoretical model to reality. A commercial operator, UbiGo AB is founded trying to secure a continued operation of the service. UbiGo has attracted great interest both nationally and internationally and the attention continues in very positive terms. Through the work with geofencing feature a platform is created for further development in the area of electrified public transport.

Approach and implementation

There have been high expectations on Go: smart to implement the ´the multi-modal trip´ in reality. UbiGo have bridged the gap between public transportation and private traveling, passengers have been rewarded and unique results have been received by interviewing people who has used the unique service in their everyday life. The position and conditions for commercialize UbiGo have been strengthened because of UbiGo AB. A big step on the road to the clean, quiet and attractive city has also been taken by the electrification tests geofencing and incident warning.
