Important results from the project
Our project has shown there is potential in the area. To inspire, as in our case, through a digital platform and in a fun way be a help on the way to getting more people to concretely get involved in and contribute to sustainability in everyday life, and to make the world a little better. Several partners (NGOs) that we have worked with have stated that our app became a whole new channel for them to reach out. We did not reach the goal of the number of new users, the pandemic came in between.
Expected long term effects
We did arouse the interest of private individuals who, through our app, could get involved in making the world a little better in a simple and fun way. There is potential here going forward. Our project has demonstrated to NGOs how they can use new ways to reach out to more people who can contribute to increased sustainability. We had a dialogue with students, it´s positive for our future that they are inspired and maybe build their own new solutions that further promote a sustainable society.
Approach and implementation
When we applied for and received funding from Vinnova, we had already launched our app on the market. Three months after launch, the pandemic hit, and all collaborations were interrupted. The goal of the project was to expand the user base for the app through technical updates, a new marketing strategy, and a new business model. In recent years, we have tested various initiatives with almost nonexistent funds, and it has been challenging and frustrating not to reach the full potential.
