Funds for verification at LEAD-companies

Purpose and goal

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The purpose of the project is that more ideas will receive support in verifying and developing their idea so that it is ready for the market and that the funds will be able to support to secure a first paying customer. We have achieved this in very many cases, which has contributed to LEAD´s overall objective of continuously releasing 5 growth companies annually with a potential to reach 30 million in sales, 25% annual growth and 10 employees 5 years after leaving the incubator.

Expected results and effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** For many companies, the verification funds have contributed to both receiving help to verify their market but also supporting how the companies have been able to approach their first customer more efficiently. During the years 2016 - 2020, LEAD evaluated over 370 ideas, of which 55 were accepted for incubation. Of these, 45 companies have been granted funds that have helped them accelerate development and reduce time to market. We see this outcome as part of the results that this project contributed with.

Planned approach and implementation

Our view is that these funds are very valuable and fulfill an important function in the companies´ early stages where they seek soft funds in the innovation system. Good structure together with very experienced business coaches means that we have created a fantastic environment and good conditions for the ideas that will grow into scaling companies.
