Important results from the project
In a previous feasibility project (ROPY, Vinnova d-nr 2022-02459), the possibility for enabling a circular material flow for textured injection moulded polymer components through robust specifications of the surfaces was investigated. In the current project, the aim was to investigate the possibilities of broadening the research scope beyond the specific application in ROPY, and establish an a research area, in collaboration between RISE and Chalmers, to be able to attend to related research questions and industrial challenges.
Expected long term effects
One paper has been published, one paper has been submitted for publication, and additional papers have been planned. The research area has been defined with aim and delimitations. A roadmap with ideas for suitable research projects has been created. One collaborative research project has been applied for, and granted, within the FFI-program.
Approach and implementation
Different activities have been conducted within the project such as writing of scientific papers, incl. summary of state of the art, discussions with stakeholders, interaction with other researchers at conferences, drafting of the roadmap etc.
