Fuels and additives suited for infrasound cleaning

Purpose and goal

The aim of the project was to investigate circumstances suitable for efficient infrasound cleaning in incineration plants. Some circumstances have been confirmed while others must be further investigated.

Expected results and effects

Expected result was to clarify at what temperature the ash becomes too adhesive for efficient removal using infrasound cleaning. This has been partly confirmed but also other not anticipated results have been shown.

Planned approach and implementation

The planned test setup worked very well and no major unexpected problems occured. Neither did suspected problems occur, such as damage to the sound source due to not being able to keep the temperature at the sound source low enough.
