Purpose and goal

The project aims to develop systems for intermediate storage and reuse of construction and civil engineering materials within municipal activities. It addresses various obstacles for reuse and aims to create collaboration between municipalities, municipal administrations & companies and the private market. Objective: Develop business models for reuse. Create a model for funding. Routines for reuse-materials. Prototypes for logistics centers. Method bank for quality assurance of materials.

Planned approach and implementation

The project is implemented in six work packages with a focus on business models, law, quality assurance and the establishment of logistics centers in Lund and Malmö. Through collaboration between municipalities, municipal companies and academia, solutions are explored in practice. The goal is a scalable model that promotes recycling, contributes to environmental benefits through reduced emissions, lower resource consumption and increased circular use of building materials.
