Expected long term effects

Healthcare data sharing and access to data will be significantly facilitated in Region Östergötland within medical imaging. Barncancerfondens Brainchild-projekt has created improved conditions for sharing childhood cancer-related data in Sweden and is expected to be able to include international data to a greater extent. KTH-Karolinska has increased insights into the possibilities of data, its visualization and this is expected to be disseminated to other healthcare providers.

Approach and implementation

The basis for the project has been individual sub-projects led by Linköping University, KTH and the Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation. The project partners have met monthly to exchange experiences and also provide each other with support. A joint document with lessons learned and insights has been written and disseminated at conferences and workshops. In all sub-projects, close collaboration with the healthcare sector has been central
