Important results from the project
The project addressed challenges in industrial processes and materials development through seven sub-projects. The goals varied from method development to increased understanding of material properties and durability. The sub-projects fulfilled several objective, for example promising results in vibration-assisted drilling and battery foil analysis. At the same time, a need for both further studies and development was identified. The project has achieved its objectives.
Expected long term effects
The project delivered both concrete results and insights for future work. For example, parts of the brass corrosion process related to lead have been clarified and new coatings tested. The project has also provided a better understanding of the battery foil´s correlation with the battery´s final performance and materials have been digitized to facilitate customer dialogues and improve product design. Continued studies are required to realize long-term objective.
Approach and implementation
The project was carried out in seven sub-projects with different focus areas, from experimental tests to digitalization and method development. It gave a good overview of the areas. The schedule has largely been followed.
