Project duration October 2022 - July 2023
Status Completed
Venture Winter - for secure sharing and use of data

Important results from the project

With the long-term goal of developing health data infrastructure, the financing by Vinnova has enabled us to extensively develop HMdev, a tool for designing and implementing metadata. The new version of HMdev has been tested by defining lab-data in collaboration with the pharmaceutical industry and on early discovery of diabetes type 1 with Diabetes Stockholm. This shows large potential for HMdev and the Origo methodology, but an infrastructure needs to be developed for health data.

Expected long term effects

1. HMdev has been converted into a multi-user tool, which enables collaborative modelling and deployment as a service. 2. Identification of the development roadmap and potential solutions, including but not limited to: identity and consent management, rules-based governance and data security. 3. Continuous testing of the modelling capabilities of HMdev in collaboration with the pharmaceutical industry, Diabetes Stockholm and researchers from KTH.

Approach and implementation

1. The development of HMdev is according to plan in its concluded parts and continues with the last parts planned. 2. Definition work with the new parts of definitions, primarily lab-data, works well and gives feedback to continuing development. 3. We see an increasing understanding and interest from our collaboration partners, as part of our work together.
