Important results from the project
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The current project aimed to develop a smart textile product line - EXOPULSE - with both monitoring and activation function. The goal of the project was to create a digital prototype and beta versions, as well as to test the unit´s functionality at Karolinska Institutet. The goal was also to collect data to use to supplement the monitoring system and the placement of the sensors in the garment. The goal of the project was met, a database for knowledge of movement patterns has been built, and protocols for future project have been produced.
Expected long term effects
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The goal of the project was to initially create a digital prototype and beta versions, before the unit´s functionality was tested and evaluated at Karolinska Institutet. The project has resulted in greater knowledge about which movement patterns should be tested, design of test protocols for further project and knowledge of which sensors should be used and in what way.
Approach and implementation
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Due to Covid-19, several motion analysis tests were performed on one person instead of the majority. The test was performed on the person of Cerebral Pares the aim to raise awareness for the measurement of complex motion patterns with sensors. Test protocols were designed and movements in three planes were performed in a motion analysis system (Vicon) at Karolinska Institutet, at the same time as the units were used. Data from the motion analysis system (Vicon) and data from the sensors were analyzed and then compared.
