Important results from the project
The project has achieved its three objectives: - A report has been completed, highlighting key factors, progress, and regulatory frameworks for electric heavy-duty transport in respective markets. - Two well-attended webinars were held, targeting Swedish and American stakeholders respectively, presenting results from electric truck implementations and ongoing developments in the field. - Common innovation needs have been identified. The focus is now on EU funding opportunities.
Expected long term effects
Knowledge sharing through seminars and a report aims to provide logistics stakeholders and decision-makers globally with an increased understanding of implementing electric heavy-duty trucks. This will facilitate the replication of successes and help avoid obstacles. Upcoming EU Horizon calls are being monitored for a potential expanded collaboration between Lindholmen Science Park, Calstart´s European branch, and several other partners.
Approach and implementation
The project ran from November 27, 2023, to June 30, 2025. During this period, the project partners met consistently via digital meetings, approximately once per month on average. These working meetings focused on developing the report´s structure and content, as well as preparing for the two seminars held in spring 2025. Additionally, external parties and the Future Mobility program management were contacted to gather input on future innovation needs and potential collaboration models.
