| Call | Visions for world-leading research and innovation in strategic technology areas |
Important results from the project
The main aim to establish consortium, management and organization structure, refine vision and goals for the excellence cluster focusing on Additive Manufacturing (AM) as enabler to increase resilience through material and process innovation, was reached. National and international ecosystems in the area of AM were mapped and consortium was further expanded with five more excellence centres. Preparation of the full application for the cluster focusing on AM and remanufacturing is on-going.
Expected long term effects
CAMP is based on Sweden’s strong footprint in AM as a recognized leader in metal powder production, AM technologies development and industrialization, actively engaging top researchers and >100 industrial partners. Realization of the plan within 5 years will position Sweden at the international forefront in research in multi-material AM. Successful translation of developed solutions into industrial manufacturing within 10 years will multiply competitiveness and resilience of Swedish industry.
Approach and implementation
CAMP consortium was based on eight multi-disciplinary competence centres in Sweden, active in AM, covering the whole material, technology and product realization chain. Based on 5 organized open workshops and national and international ecosystem mapping, merge with Remanufacturing cluster was initiated. This resulted in establishment of the consortium, management and organization structure for the planned full application for the Excellence Cluster for Additive Manufacturing and Remanufacturing.
