Purpose and goal

SmiLe shall develop internationally competitive Life Science companies in close cooperation with the Healthcare sector, by offering comprehensive business development support, i.e. qualified business coaching, contacts with investors and industry, cross-border networking and meeting places as well as a unique infrastructure for R&D. The work and commitment of SmiLe shall enable entrepreneurs to rapidly develop innovative solutions, thus becoming commercially competitive internationally

Expected results and effects

By offering a unique infrastructure, not only for SmiLe Community but for the entire start-up scene and SME companies, SmiLe is enabling longterm cross-boundary cooperation, coupled with strengthened innovation capability in-between companies throughout the country. The SmiLe Community is unique nationwide creating accelerated growth, thanks to the start-ups not leaving the environment contributing to a reciprocated growth within the community, which is a huge advantage. Further strengthening the relation to and interaction with the industry and potential investors is key

Planned approach and implementation

The infrastructure that SmiLe offers in its Open Lab/Makerspace with ten specialized labs, is a unique test and development environment
