Purpose and goal
The purpose of the project was to inform about the opprtunities offered to SMEs to participate in H2020 and Eurostars. The project also gave support to applicants and tried to discourage those with projects not suitable for application. Targets were set at the start of the Project together with the sponsors. These were surpassed. An inquiery during the Project showed that SMEs found the support valuable.
Expected results and effects
During the project period mor than 10 000 companies were contacted. Of those 739 were given support in some form. A total of 179 companies decided to apply for support of which 64 had their application approved, a hit-rate of 36 %.
Planned approach and implementation
In the Project 8 different organisations with broad SME-networks participated. The Project was divided inte four work packages; information, financing, process support, training. A homepage was established as well as a helpdesk. Both internal and external training was arranged. Project meeting were held 2-3 times per year. Work package leaders met twice a month. It is our analysis that the setup of the Project was successful where the helpdesk was an important element.
