Purpose and goal

The EU SME Support Project has developed a visual identity and communication platform to facilitate and clarify the marketing of the support and offerings provided. A digital strategy now ties together target groups and different digital channels to each other in a hands-on document. The aim of the project was to create a clear portal and communication channel for Swedish SMEs who are interested in EU funding and with a uniform visual identity, the project will establish itself better over time.

Expected results and effects

A new website has been launched based on a communication plan and digital strategy. This will increase the visibility of the EU SME project resulting in more Swedish companies investigating their opportunities in Eurostars and/or Horizon 2020. The projects ambition is that more companies submit applications of higher quality and succeed better in the evaluation processes, which in turn leads to more Swedish SMEs reaching a broader market and increasing their opportunities for internationalization.

Planned approach and implementation

Initially a workshop was held regarding the brand identity and target groups. The current website was also analyzed. A new visual identity was created with logo, fonts and profile colors that were used for the new web site and printed materials. The new website is more informative as a portal for SMEs who want to seek EU funding. Search engine optimization, online statistics and integration with other digital channels have been included in the work and have been linked to the digital strategy.
