Purpose and goal

ENCCS aims to become Sweden´s central hub for high-performance computing (HPC) linking industry, academia and public administration, with an emphasis on assisting small and medium-sized enterprises to effectively utilise EuroHPC resources. ENCCS´ main goals are knowledge transfer through high-quality training, consultancy on HPC programming, support with EuroHPC applications, mapping of existing competences, and the expansion of a broad cooperation network with several sectors.

Expected effects and result

A centralised hub for HPC in Sweden will provide extensive benefits to industry, academia, and the public sector. HPC training will equip users with the latest knowledge, fostering innovation and advancement. Facilitating HPC adoption will drive digital transformation across diverse sectors, boosting efficiency and competitiveness. Domestic and international collaborations will extend ENCCS´ reach and impact. Awareness campaigns and community engagement will foster a broad HPC ecosystem in Sweden, promoting digital excellence at a national level.

Planned approach and implementation

1. Education in HPC and further development of open educational material for independent competence development 2. Support to industry, academia and the public sector with access to EuroHPC resources, linked to individual consulting 3. Communications targeting emerging HPC user groups through social media, newsletters, annual conferences, etc. 4. Programming support to adapt software to run on EuroHPC systems. 5. Mapping of existing competences in Sweden and expansion of a broad contact network to relevant organisations.
