Purpose and goal

We now intend to: 1) Establish "HälsaSverige" - a membership organization (for organizations); a. recruit secretariat and members b. draw up operational and communication plans c. apply for funding 2) Conduct an analysis at a systems level and of the “root causes” focusing on the questions a. “why is not health promotion and prevention prioritized?” b. “which decisions and methods are efficacious and cost-effective?” 3) Benchmark against international best practices

Expected effects and result

The organization will have as objective to influence decision-makers and other key actors to create stronger political and economic support for health promotion and disease prevention efforts. This will be done by highlighting the need for a move towards “reimbursement systems for health”, starting to use different measures of a country´s health and prosperity, and by highlighting evidence-based solutions and good examples.

Planned approach and implementation

Establish organization: A non-profit organization (member association) with a corporate registration number, statutes, board of directors, reference group Funding: donors, grants, member-fees Communication: debate articles, communication materials. Organization members: Recruitment of 40 members, membership register. Workshops: Action plan, Status report on effective: policy changes resource reinforcements changes in organization and division of responsibilities Office: Hire a head of office
