Reference number
Coordinator RISE IVF AB - Swerea IVF AB, Göteborg
Funding from Vinnova SEK 21 050 000
Project duration October 2015 - January 2019
Status Completed
Venture The strategic innovation programme Bioinnovation

Purpose and goal

It is the project manager´s opinion that the project as a whole has achieved a good goal fulfillment. The project´s ambition was to contribute to a system change in the field of sustainability in the textile industry and to increase Sweden´s competitiveness in the area. This is considered to have been acheived by the Project Manager, BioInnovation and the participants at the project´s final meeting.

Expected results and effects

All work packages have contributed to increased knowledge and visibility in their specific area. Some work packages have resulted in innovations that have already reached the market or are about to be introduced, while other innovations still require continued development work. Several of the sub-projects and collaborations have resulted in new initiatives and research projects where some are part of BioInnovation´s project portfolio and others are funded through other Vinnova programs.

Planned approach and implementation

The project was a large and extensive project, both in terms of performance ambition, budget and size of consortium. This made the project very complex to operate, the reporting difficult to manage and the knowledge and information flow very challenging. However, the size of the project and the composition of project partners have contributed to unusually high visibility and made it possible to establish new collaboration constellations and to drive some innovations right up to market introduction.
