Purpose and goal

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project aims to co-finance "ESA BIC Sweden Incentives" with 50%. The remaining 50% is co-financed by ESA. Startups with space-related business ideas adopted by ESA BIC Sweden for incubation receive "Incentives" up to a maximum of EUR 50,000. Incentives are used by the startup to cover 3rd party costs linked to product development and related IP costs. The goal is to incubate 36 new space startups in ESA BIC Sweden during the period up to and including 2027. In addition, 10 already adopted space startups from the first project are included.

Expected effects and result

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project is expected to give 36 new space startups (plus 10 from the first project) in ESA BIC Sweden the best conditions for a successful incubation in ESA BIC Sweden which results in the Swedish space startup cluster growing with another 36 + 10 new companies that contribute to Sweden´s growth and strengthens Sweden´s position as a startup nation.

Planned approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The 10 space startups from the first project complete their incubation. ESA BIC Sweden has an "Permanent Open Call" with three yearly campaigns when new startups are selected from among the received applications that are assessed and selected by ESA BIC Sweden´s Evaluation Board (TEB). Selected startups have individual incubation plans that guide their activities during the incubation. Incentives are paid incrementally, advance no. 1 at contract signing, no. 2 at approved mid-term report and final payment is made after approved final report.
