Purpose and goal

The project aims to create a scalable model for how a sports association becomes a powerful player in integration and a bridge between the public and the idea-based sector. Milestones in the project has been to become a partner for authorities, to become a spider in the web of the local civil society, to connect with the business community and to create value for the own association´s core activities. The project can show good goal fulfillment in all areas, and in particular regarding networks in the public and idea-based sector.

Expected results and effects

The basis for the project´s model is to constitute a live example of success within integration through sports, which can be packaged and spread widely to other sport associations and municipalities. The result of the project is that such an example exists and has involved over 1500 unique end users. Expected effects are that this will be able to inspire other associations to similar initiatives, as well as influence decision-makers regarding prioritization of resources and support for sports associations.

Planned approach and implementation

In this phase, the project has focused on establishing an initiative that can be regarded as a unique success example and that makes a notable impact in the local community. The work has primarily involved the development of new types of integration activities, recruiting and shaping an internal organization with the capacity to run large-scale activities, establishing a strong platform for communication online and on social media, and creating good contacts and relationships with key players in the local public and idea-based sector.
