Important results from the project
The project fully achieved its objectives by developing and submitting a competitive flagship proposal within the deadline. It also strengthened collaboration among the participating organizations and created a solid basis for continued joint development.
Expected long term effects
In the longer term, the project is expected to strengthen the ability of RISE and its partners to develop and scale up circular, bio-based food processes. It can create new collaboration opportunities, support future research and innovation projects, and contribute to increased industrial use of side streams as raw materials for high-value food ingredients.
Approach and implementation
The planning grant was carried out through a structured process to develop a competitive EU proposal. The work included consortium building, development of the project concept and work plan, allocation of roles and responsibilities, budgeting, and joint review and quality assurance of the application. The plan was followed according to schedule and resulted in a completed proposal submitted within the deadline.
