Important results from the project

The goal of the project was to develop a marine stove and heater based on Zemission´s catalytic burner with high efficiency and low emissions. This has been achieved by the development of a common burner platform adapted for cost-effective production. Subsequently, a complete stove has been completed and field tested in boat with good results. A compact heat exchanger design based on a cost-effective extruded aluminium structure has also been developed and adapted for production and together with the burner platform it forms an efficient air heater.

Expected long term effects

A stove based on catalytic combustion for liquid fuels has been developed and adapted to the marine and RV* market and is now ready for launch. *(Recreational Vehicles)

Approach and implementation

The project has been divided into seven work packages. The work packages together with milestones have formed the basis for planning and follow-up during the project. Physical meetings between the parties have taken place 1-2 times per six months and in between, Skype meetings have been held on a monthly basis and sometimes also weekly on the technical development.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
