Purpose and goal
Eira Frost will test and validate Eira Systems’ electric off-road UGV in Nordic winter conditions together with Millog in Finland. The goal is to verify mobility, energy performance and operational usability for logistics, support and evacuation in snow, mud, cold weather and soft terrain. The project builds on own technology where traction control, mobility and terrain understanding are connected to Eira’s software stack for autonomy and robust operation.
Expected effects and result
The project is expected to deliver verified test results from Millog’s winter environment for Eira’s platform, including wheel, halftrack and fulltrack configurations. The results will support further product development, military use cases and future cooperation with defence and resilience actors.
Planned approach and implementation
The project will be carried out through field tests in Finland using Millog’s test environment and operational experience. Eira will prepare the vehicles, sensors, energy systems and mobility configurations. Tests will cover mobility, ground pressure, battery performance, autonomy and operational use.
