Purpose and goal

The aim of the Agenda ´eHealth at home´ is to give the individual, regardless of age, the possibilty to under secure conditions live at home longer than today if you get sick, need care or when you wish to age in your home. The agenda is an action plan to position Sweden at the forefront of the development and introduction of services, products and processes that support the individual to remain at home longer. The intention is that the agenda along with other initiatives will serve as basis for a Strategic Innovation Program.

Results and expected effects

The result is an agenda that different actors agree that when implemented will position Sweden in the forefront in the field of eHealth at home. The agenda will be used to: * Further strengthen Sweden´s role as a model for the rest of the world in ICT-based products and services for health and social care at home and benefit from such a position. * Provide Swedish industry the conditions to take a leading role in the development of the area. * Support and enhance the interaction between the public welfare and the private health care providers, the industry and research organizations.

Approach and implementation

The agenda has been developed in cooperation between relevant actors in Sweden. The basis of this work has been four workshops where different topics have been discussed. The material has been processed and the writing process has been allocated to the various actors in order to illuminate the area from different perspectives. The agenda will serve as the basis for an application to conduct a Strategic Innovation Program. The working method has supported a great commitment and created the basis for a future successful collaboration allowing more parties can be invited.
