Purpose and goal
EHDS@LV aims to promote secondary use of health data for the public sector. An AI-optimised infrastructure platform is established by the Swedish Medical Products Agency and is made accessible also for other government authorities in the health area. The goal of the project is to establish practical and technical forms of cooperation and to explore use of privacy-preserving techniques to share data between the authorities.
Expected effects and result
Expected results: - Established practical forms of cooperation for secondary use of health data, with the goal of achieving synergy effects through joint processes for technical management, implementation of data standards and metadata, information security and assessments of risk and legality. - Joint technical resources such as repositories for code (Python and R), sharing of locally trained/adapted AI models and sharing of data. - Clarification of the possibilities of using privacy-preserving techniques to share data between agencies.
Planned approach and implementation
The project includes three work packages (WPs) that correspond to the goals stated above and are conducted under 2023-2026. The Swedish Medicines Agency procures and installs the necessary hardware and acts as the technical and administrative principal for the project. WP 1: Basic prerequisites for collaboration WP 2: Use of common data and models WP 3: Integrity and data protection
