Important results from the project

To achieve its overall objective, Productive 4.0 took a major step towards a hands-on approach of digitalising the European industry with the focus on the three pillars: * Digital Production (DP) * Supply Chain Networks (SCN) * Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) Midroc has worked both with technical implementation of key components, a use-case in supply chains and advanced its own digitalisation for increasingly digital deliveries of production projects.

Expected long term effects

Productive 4.0 has produced a large number of results, including further development of an SoS platform for digital industry, a framework for data analysis and secure communication, IoT devices for industry, complex simulation models, systems for virtualization and control, influenced important standardization processes, and illustrated this in a large number of demonstrations. Midroc has supported the development of the Arrowhead Framework, helped the Swedish consortium present Bank 4.0, and developed its offering in simulation and Virtual Commissioning.

Approach and implementation

Midroc has followed the overall plan for Productive 4.0, with three cyclical iterations of requirements, implementation and demonstration / evaluation following one another. This approach has been particularly rewarding in terms of learning more from other partners, as the recurring phases have provided an opportunity to see how different actors work with development and digitization. It has also provided greater opportunities to integrate lessons learned from other parts of the project during later iterations of one´s own implementation.
