Purpose and goal
The project aims to bring to the market an enhanced Air Quality platform to allow cities to better implement and verify mitigations actions to achieve climate neutrality while ensuring a cleaner air quality. The AQG platform will include both the sensor nodes providing real-time air pollution and GHG data, the modelling framework and the cloud environment where end users can get insight into the air pollution and GHG behaviour in an urban area through heatmaps.
Expected effects and result
One objective is to improve the manufacturability of the multi-gas GHG sensor, an advanced prototype developed by Senseair which has been proven to be a cost-effective and reliable sensing solution for high resolution CO2 measurements. Then an air quality and GHG platform for modelling and data visualization will be developed based on the large expertise owned by Bettair. The newly developed Air Quality platform will be evaluated in 2 extensive field campaigns.
Planned approach and implementation
One work package will focus on the optimization and industrialization of the GHG multi-gas sensor. Then, effort will be put to develop the AQG platform’s modelling framework and create high resolution heatmaps for air pollutants and GHGs, while making the information accessible for the end user via a dedicated web application. Last, the whole solution including enhanced sensor nodes and AQG modelling framework will be tested in 2 extensive field campaigns.
