Purpose and goal

This project aimsto create a state-of-the-art exhaled breath monitoring system that is cloud-connected and can reliably diagnose and notify physicians/patients about lung conditions. We will use advanced microsensors at the heart of our technology to accurately measure lung function. By using these advanced technologies, we hope to transform respiratory diagnostics and enable peopleto actively monitor their health. Our project has the potential to significantly improve overall well-being by facilitating the early detection and treatment of respiratory disorders.

Expected effects and result

The project is expanding simultaneously into both new and established markets. First off, the initiative is entering a well-established market with its entry into the conventional respiratory diagnostics sector. Concurrently, the initiative is venturing into a novel and swiftly changing industry propelled by the focus on lung health monitoring. The COVID-19 pandemic has increased awareness, particularly among those without a history of respiratory disorders. Since remote lung health monitoring is a relatively novel idea, the project´s technology fills this new market demand.

Planned approach and implementation

AIRBEST adopts an iterative research and innovation (R&I) approach by combining elements of materials science, biomedical, and data analytics. This approach is preferred for our project to allow a comprehensive understanding of all the factors associated with the detection of lung conditions. Continuous studies are carried out to address the needs arising in the medical field so that the final developed product is relevant and necessary as planned. Work packages will have strong interactions between them to achieve a minimum viable product (MVP) by the end of the project.
