Important results from the project
Product developed for measuring EMG, pulse and temperature with two body-worn battery-powered sensors that communicate via bluetooth to an APP. The product is used for migraine therapy.
About a hundred measuring units have been developed and used in a clinical study.
Further development of the product in aim to release on the market has begun.
The project has also contributed to significantly increased knowledge of EMG measurement and the process surrounding the development of medical devices
Expected long term effects
Through increased technology and process knowledge regarding medical technology, additional project in related areas is expected.
Approach and implementation
The project was carried out together with project partners in Norway (APP) and Estonia (Back-end). The collaboration has worked very well. The project parties had different areas of responsibility and a large focus was on identifying and developing the technical interfaces between the back-end, APP and sensors.
A major aim of the project was to produce about a hundred sensors for use in clinical studies. The study took longer than planned but has shown very good results of the therapy method.
