Dual Purpose Virtual Reality (VR) Team Training for Civilian and Military Medics

Purpose and goal

This project will create a dual purpose VR medical simulation platform, expanding the in-hospital civilian trauma management team training to include trauma for military medics training.

Expected effects and result

A VR medical simulation platform that supports multi-player team training, and an initial library of customizable combat-related medical scenarios tailored to enhance military medics´ preparedness for the real life complexities of battlefield medicine.

Planned approach and implementation

The project will be carried out according to the plan, schedule and budget to modify, test and implement the VR simulation platform for military medic team training. Methods and approaches were chosen based on experiences of project stakeholders and from previous similar projects, established workflow and standards.
