Important results from the project
The innovation is a method that has the potential to shorten the lead time for cutting concrete by 30%. It also means that you don´t need heavy drilling stand, it eases the alignment when you start the drilling as well as to avoid destroying the surrounding surfaces. The aim with this project was to do a preliminary market analysis, and how the future partners and IPR looks. The goal was to gain a deeper knowledge of the market for cutting concrete and our future partners and to review the possibilities for an international patent.
Expected long term effects
The result shows a few leading companies on the market for construction products where cutting concrete are found. Hilti, Husqvarna and Tyrolit are the dominant. The result of the project indicates that our innovation probably could be interesting, commercially, for one of the big companies. Since our idea is patentable could it give one of them an exceptional position on the market.
Approach and implementation
The idea was to collect data to conduct a market analysis, identify future partners and review IPR, to see whether there is a future for our innovation. The conduct has been done through interviews, search on google and patent databases.
