Purpose and goal
Together with Swedish wood industry companies, form a powerful consortium and plan work to strengthen pines competitiveness through material modification and product development. Involve other pre-studies to strengthen the consortium and find cooperation possibilities.
Expected results and effects
A powerful consortium with a common target image for the application for a bio-innovation project was formed. The work led to nine work packages that describe various innovative development projects within and in connection with the sawmill process. Some pre-studies were integrated as work packages of the larger project proposal of this pre-study.
Planned approach and implementation
A large number of meetings with companies, smaller workshops, and meetings between the various subprojects were conducted. Proposals for a more coherent project structure and common activities and project name (IPOS) were presented based on these meetings and discussed internally and within the consortium.
