Important results from the project
Identify opportunities for developing a testing environment for remote teaching with distance-spanning approach both in terms of technical solutions and teaching methods . Based on the experience of remote teaching as a selection of our schools´ students, teachers and school leaders possess , the conditions for pursuing education at best been up to dialogue. External partners such as consultants, researchers, training providers and companies working with equipment and solutions in the area have contributed with their aspects.
Expected long term effects
The project must be able to show examples of the need of useful solutions in terms of technology , pedagogy and support. Diverse needs of teachers and students can be met on the basis of the different courses using distance-spanning approach. Teachers are expected to get more accustomed to use different tools and are together with their students the end users of the tools. The result of the test environment will be useful for others with similar conditions in regions like ours. The outcome of the pilot study demonstrates the needs identified and that it is possible to create a test environment
Approach and implementation
Efforts to identify issues and take in the views to make a complete plan for the implementation of the test environment , have been made by project management, external consultants together wtih the students, teachers and school leaders who are actors in the distance education implemented this year at our four schools. In a large workshop where we brought together participants from all localities in the region we got many relevant comments . The material has been compiled and a report has been created. The report identifies the main areas that fit into the application to come.
