Purpose and goal
The aim and objective were to increase knowledge about the challenges and opportunities of digitalisation and to develop proposals and measures in the areas of infrastructure, competence and integrity and with a continuous theme on how this can contribute to increased competitiveness. The project has, in a number of seminars and meetings, delivered conclusions and proposals to politicians and heads of government, business decision makers, representatives of higher education, decision makers in the regional and national innovation and innovation support systems, etc.
Expected results and effects
A robust infrastructure is an important prerequisite for services and community functions and knowledge and coordination need to increase. In cybersecurity, better awareness and analysis is needed. Investments in industrial platforms are needed for the continued development of business. Digitalisation is changing the labour market and imposes new demands on lifelong learning and the education system. A fair balance between regulation and innovation is required for trust and integrity. The project proposes a number of possible measures in the form of a constructive agenda.
Planned approach and implementation
The project has been implemented for about two years as a policy-making IVA project with a steering group and three working groups staffed by decision makers and experts from relevant authorities, companies, academia and organizations. Project management has been handled by the IVA office. The methodology was a structured discussion in the steering group and working groups, supplemented with seminars, roundtables, hearings and smaller work meetings. The project´s results have been compiled in a report that was presented at IVA on March 4, 2019 and available on IVA´s web site.
