Purpose and goal
The project will develop and validate EnergyNet, an open, cyber-secure and AI-ready digital architecture for electrification. With electric vehicles and bidirectional charging as concrete applications, the project will demonstrate how local energy resources can be identified, coordinated and used safely in smart microgrids. The work is being carried out in Swedish-American collaboration.
Expected effects and result
The project is expected to produce a reference architecture, a security model, data models for bidirectional charging, an open simulation tool and a path towards pilot and practical application. The results will contribute to more efficient use of electricity grids and local energy resources, increased resilience, more renewable energy and strengthened Swedish innovation and export capacity.
Planned approach and implementation
The project is being implemented over twelve months as industrial research in six work packages: project management, eligibility requirements and gap analysis, reference architecture, cybersecurity, AI-ready data and V2G, and Swedish-American roadmap and dissemination. The work is done through regular digital meetings, joint workshops, a planned trip to the US, and ongoing validation against open standards and defined deliverables.
