Important results from the project

The goals of Digitala Stambanan were met beyond expectations, leading to the development of industrial demonstrators and laboratory implementations. The demonstrators were successfully developed through collaboration with the partners, as well as broad dissemination of results and knowledge in large industrial fairs, conferences, contributions to webinars and scientific publications. The support of partners´ digitalization journeys led to positive impact and feedback from the companies.

Expected long term effects

The long-term effects of this project are expected to significantly enhance the competitiveness of Swedish industry. By embracing digital tools and AI, companies can adapt to new conditions and lead towards a sustainable future. The project developed a structured approach, the Travel Guide, and invaluable industrial collaboration to support companies in their digital transformation. These efforts will drive extensive collaborations and new opportunities for Swedish industry.

Approach and implementation

The project is divided into three value chains where development work occurred. Work methods and digitalization levels were mapped, and improvement proposals were developed and prioritized, leading to demonstrators at SII-Lab with technology providers. The activities included knowledge exchange and dissemination, including technology workshops and the Engineer 4.0 course. WP6 managed the project. Networks and seminars with technology providers and Combient extended results and learnings.
