Purpose and goal
The project aims to strengthen AIOpt AB’s strategic competence in 6G and AI-based RAN optimisation through staff mobility between Sweden and the USA. The goal is to co-develop, with a leading US partner, a digital twin for 6G RAN and AI-driven optimisation methods that can later be applied in Swedish industrial and research collaborations.
Expected effects and result
The project is expected to deliver an initial digital twin for 6G RAN, demonstrators for AI-driven RAN optimisation and increased 6G competence within AIOpt. This will strengthen Sweden’s ability to innovate in 6G, enable more energy- and resource-efficient mobile networks and establish a long-term collaboration between Swedish and US partners.
Planned approach and implementation
The project is implemented through staff mobility where a key person from AIOpt spends 4–12 weeks at a US 6G partner. During the stay, a shared digital-twin environment and AI-based RAN optimisation algorithms are developed and tested on realistic scenarios. Back in Sweden, knowledge is transferred, prototypes are refined and next joint projects and pilots are prepared.
